Dr. Maureen Murray DDS Dentist

Dr Maureen Murray originates from eastern Canada having been born and attending grade school in Summerside PEI.

Her undergraduate years and dental degree were obtained from Dalhousie University, graduating in 1992. Prior to moving to Kamloops her areas of practice included Calgary, Alberta and Dawson Creek, BC. Her years spent in a rural area with little to no access to specialists for referral purposes were instrumental in developing strong diagnostic and clinical skills.

In 2001 she moved to Kamloops and acquired her present practice which was well established in the downtown core, having been at that location since the 1980s. The nature of the practice demanded another step up in clinical skills to maintain the implant cases that she inherited and was responsible to maintain. At that time she joined, and to this day still belongs to, a study club located in Vancouver, BC The BC Interdisciplinary Treatment Planning Seminar. The focus of this group is diagnosis, treatment planning, execution and management of complex cases with a special emphasis on implant therapy. She has also been a long time member of local study clubs dedicated to state of the art treatment, including the Spear Study Club and the Preety Desai Periodontal Study Club. As she strives to constantly improve her clinical skills and offerings for her patient family she decided to pursue the world of digital dentistry, the wave of the future. She has extended her knowledge base in this discipline by attending multiple courses in Scottsdale, Arizona and introduced the Cerec system into the practice in 2014.

Outside of the office her pursuits include golf and curling, increasing her music library in multiple genres and when time allows, sewing.
